The demonstrative pronouns

Arabic demonstratives change in gender and number (singular, dual or plural referring to persons) according to the noun.



Used it to refer to objects that are further away
 



Masculine

Feminine

















Third person

ذلك - ذاك
(ذلك  is more used )
That

 (Masc. singular)
is used for the masculine noun
“Use it for human or non human”.



تِلك
That

  1. is used for the feminine noun (Fem. single)
  2. is used for the feminine irrational noun (Fem. single)
  3. Irrational (non human) beings plural (masc. or fem.








He, it / She, it
     (singular)

Use (تِلك) for  they
 (Irrational, masc. or fem.) (plural)


ذانك
Those
(Masc. dual)
is used for the masculine noun

تانك
Those
 (Fem. Dual)
It is used for the feminine noun two




They (dual)

أولـئـك
ulā’ika

Those
(Masc. or Fem.)
It is used for the masculine nouns and feminine noun.
It must however be remembered that it is used only for human beings and not for non human beings
